Master Workshop RULES: Use A.R.T to mitigate stress: the case of CSRD projects

To comply with European regulation, 50,000 companies have launched sustainability reporting projects. Project managers and team members are under pressure due to the characteristics of their project:

• The project timeline is fixed and non-negotiable.
• The reporting format is new: few experts are well-versed in the applicable, often ambiguous standards.
• The reporting process is highly complex.
• A bad CSRD project could have legal and business consequences for the company.
• From a financial perspective, ESG reporting appears to incur short-term costs without obvious gains. Shareholders might pressure CEOs to minimize spending on CSRD, ignoring that the auditor might be unable to certify their company’s sustainability report.

This session will deal with putting into practice A.R.T. in a CSRD project to give it more chance to succeed.

Learning goals summary:
At the end of the session, participants will have learnt how to:
• Use A.R.T. to objectify stressful situations for the project team.
• Use project management levers to reduce stressful situations.
