Pioneer Workshop RULES:
Project Management and metrics: what, when and how should we measure?

In this workshop, I will revisit the basics of the Earned Value Method and highlight the importance of maintaining baselines. I will then explore the benefits of performance measurement for organizations at different levels, whether they are clients or suppliers.

1. Project Level: The benefits here are well-known and evident, ensuring that project results are delivered efficiently and effectively.
2. CFO Level: Understanding how to record CAPEX projects in financial reporting can provide significant benefits.
3. Quality System Level: Measuring the level of delivered quality and planning for improvements can greatly enhance overall enterprise way of working.
4. Procurement level: To be able to approve payments to suppliers consciously. Then, I’ll recall how to design your own KPIs (theory from The KPI Institute) so that project managers can think beyond Earned Value

Learning goals summary:
• Be able to explain why performance measurement in projects is important and non-negotiable
• Have clear ideas about how to prepare a project for being measured (Scope, baselines, hybrid projects, what to do when scope is not enough clear)
• Present project performance measurements to the C-Suite
